Wear Xol

3.7(3 Google reviews)
A small Y2K thrift shop in Banilad, Cebu City, beside the Petron station and GCut Barbers, run by its founder Xy, who started selling thrifted clothes online during the pandemic and marked five years of the business in July 2026. It mixes hand-picked thrifted pieces (corsets, mini skirts, baggy jeans, bags, jewellery, shoes) with one-of-one reworked items it makes itself, most famously necktie tops and reworked denim skirts. Prices are low by curated-shop standards, with regular sale days where whole racks go for ₱100 to ₱250. It suits girls after early-2000s and going-out styles, and you will also find it at most of the big Cebu weekend markets.

New stock: In-store stock is refreshed in batches announced on Instagram and TikTok (for example a corset restock at the end of August 2026 and a new monthly curation at the start of October 2026). Online drops happen as Instagram 'mine, steal, grab' sales at a set time, usually announced a day or two before with the time (2pm or 6pm in past drops). Pop-ups get freshly prepared racks of reworked and branded Y2K pieces, and the shop says pop-up racks come from the same stock as the store.

Before you go
Banilad, Cebu City, right beside the Petron station and GCut Barbers, roughly across from Bankways and Hatte Cafe. A creator video describes it as near UC Banilad. Google Maps pins it in barangay Kasambagan, which borders Banilad (plus code 8WP6+WG5); search 'Wear Xol Thrift Store' on Google Maps or look for GCut Barbers Banilad.
- Closed on Sundays according to every one of the shop's own profiles and posts, even though Google lists it as open daily. Hours are 1pm to 9pm, Monday to Saturday.
- Check Instagram before going on a weekend: the owner is often at a pop-up, and the store has closed for the day when she has had a pop-up (as on 19 March 2026).
- Watch for fill-a-bag days: a whole bag for ₱250. They tend to come at month end or to clear stock before new arrivals.
- In January 2026 the shop's aircon was out and it told customers to bring a mini fan, so check the latest posts if heat bothers you.
- Check structured pieces such as corsets before you buy and ask how to wash them; one reviewer had the boning snap after the first wash.
- Reworked pieces are one of a kind and are not restocked, so buy what you like when you see it.
