Ukay-Ukay Online in Cebu: The Facebook Groups, Live Sellers, Instagram Shops and Bundle Suppliers

A lot of Cebu’s ukay now changes hands without anyone walking into Carbon. Here is where it happens, what the comment rules mean, and how to pay a stranger without losing your money.

The live sell: one rail, one phone, a few hundred people typing “mine” at once.

Search “ukay ukay Cebu online” and Google answers with two very different things on the same page: wholesale bundle suppliers selling sacks of clothes, and Facebook groups where one blouse at a time goes for ₱189. Both are “online ukay”. This guide covers each, explains the comment rules that confuse every first-time live-sell buyer, and ends with how to pay a stranger in Cebu without losing your money.

We run Dara, which is one of the options, and we say so when it comes up. Follower counts below are what the pages showed in October 2026, and they change quickly.

Two markets under one search

Single pieces. You want one pair of jeans, in your size, for less than a mall would charge. That market lives in Facebook groups, live sells on Facebook and TikTok, and the Instagram accounts of Cebu’s sorted thrift shops. The work of digging through a bale has been done for you, and you pay a little more for it.

Bundles and bales. You want stock to resell, or a sack of kids’ clothes for the price of three new shirts. That market lives on supplier pages that post what came in this week and deliver within Cebu. Our ukay business guide goes deep on grades, origins and what a bale yields. This post covers how to buy one without leaving the house.

If you’d rather dig in person, the Cebu ukay guide walks through Carbon, Colon, Tabada and the Osmeña strip, and the thrift store directory has every shop on the map.

The Facebook groups

Facebook is still where most of Cebu’s online ukay happens. Sellers post a photo with a size and a price, buyers comment, and the deal moves to Messenger. The groups that come up first in Cebu searches:

  • CEBU Ukay-ukay Dress, about 34,000 followers. Dresses mostly, with sale posts like “189 each, buy 3 pcs for 500 pesos” and rules spelled out in the caption: “Mine now, pay now. No reservation since naka sale. Strictly 24 hours.”
  • Ukay Ukay Cebu, about 24,000 followers. An open group where sellers post retail pieces, prepacks, bundles and their live sells. A typical post lists GCash, bank transfer or cash on delivery through Maxim, with J&T or same-day delivery.
  • Cebu Online Pre-loved and Ukay Bags, Wallets and Shoes. Accessories, plus the occasional sealed bale of bags.
  • cebu ukay-ukay bales, about 16,000 followers. Bales and bundles, much of it pitched at live sellers and resellers.

Groups are fast and cheap, and they are also where most scams happen, because nothing sits between you and the seller. A group is a noticeboard, not a shop. Check the person, not the group, before you pay (more on that below).

Live sells, and what mine, steal and grab mean

A live sell is a seller, a rail and a phone. They hold up each piece, say the size and the price, and viewers claim it in the comments. It moves quickly, and the comment rules are a language of their own. Rappler laid them out in 2021, and Cebu sellers still post by them:

CommentWhat it means
MineFirst to type it gets first claim, at the posted price
StealTakes the piece from whoever said mine, at a higher steal price the seller has set
GrabOverrules mine and steal, at the highest set price
BidSome sellers open a piece to bids above the grab price

Every seller sets their own steal and grab prices and their own deadlines, so read the post or the pinned comment first. In live-sell etiquette a claim is a promise to pay, and sellers block buyers who claim and never pay. Most want payment by GCash within a set time, often 24 hours, and charge delivery on top.

Two habits save money. Ask for measurements before you claim, because “fits S-M” on a live sell is a guess. And keep a note of what you claimed and at what price. After forty minutes of a live, sellers and buyers both lose track.

Instagram and the sorted shops

Instagram is the sorted end of online ukay. Cebu’s best thrift shops post new arrivals there, and many of them started online before they had a shop at all. The Great Finds (TGF.PH) began online in 2019 and opened at Raintree Mall in 2025, and it has close to 20,000 Instagram followers. Go-to Style, also at Raintree, has a similar following, and Y2K Vintage on Molave Street has around 17,000. Smaller sellers run whole shops from a grid, with rules in the bio like “first to comment mine basis” and “inbox us to order”.

Prices are higher than in the groups, roughly ₱150 to ₱900 for most clothes, because someone has washed, sorted and photographed every piece. In return you get real photos, a shop you can visit, and a track record you can scroll. Our vintage and Y2K guide and best thrift stores guide cover these shops in detail.

TikTok

TikTok has become the shop window for Cebu’s physical ukay. Its “ukay ukay in Cebu” page ranks first on Google for the search. Shops post walk-throughs of new racks with their address and hours, and some run TikTok lives with the same mine, steal and grab rules as Facebook. Cebu live-selling businesses hire hosts to run them, which tells you how much moves that way.

The risks are the same as Facebook’s. Posts on r/UkayPH about TikTok live sells keep coming back to sellers who stop replying after payment, and to favouring accounts with a large following and real reviews. Where a seller uses TikTok Shop checkout, the platform holds your payment until delivery, which makes it the safest way to buy on TikTok.

Bundles and bales that deliver

Most of the top results for “ukay ukay Cebu online” are suppliers. What they say about themselves, in their own words:

  • Ukay Ukay Supplier Cebu City, a Facebook page with about 70,000 followers: a “direct and wholesale supplier of ukay ukay bundles” that accepts cash on delivery within Cebu City and nearby areas and ships nationwide on a payment-first basis.
  • Ukay Ukay Online (ukayukayonline.com), a Cebu supplier of bales and bundles that ships nationwide. Stock changes daily, so it asks buyers to message its Facebook page to check what is available, and it ships on a “Pay Now, Ship Now” policy from local warehouses.
  • Ellie’s Choice, a Cebu bundle supplier on Facebook advertising free delivery and cash on delivery.
  • UKAY UKAY DIRECT SUPPLIER CEBU BASED, a Facebook group posting take-all lots (one listing: 195 pieces of men’s underwear for ₱2,900), with posts promising delivery the same day.
  • CL’s Online Ukay, listed on Google Maps in Santa Monica Estate, Tisa, for buyers who want to see where an online seller actually is.

A starter bundle (a pre-sorted quarter of a 45-kilo bale, about 30 to 45 pieces) costs about ₱899 to ₱2,999 in 2026, and a full Class A bale about ₱5,000. Ask whether delivery is included, because it often is not. If you can, buy your first bundle from a supplier you can visit. At the supply shops at the Leon Kilat end of Colon Street you can see the stock before you pay, which no photo can match.

Shopee

Shopee does not allow used branded clothing, so it is no use for a single second-hand Zara dress. It is used for the wholesale end: bundles and bales from sellers around the country, with the platform holding your payment until delivery. That protection is why bale guides recommend it over Facebook for a first sack. The trade-off is that most of those sellers are not in Cebu, so delivery takes days and you can’t inspect before you pay.

Dara

Dara is a marketplace for pre-loved clothes in Cebu. Strictly speaking it isn’t ukay. Most listings come from people’s own wardrobes, plus thrift and vintage shops listing their stock, rather than from bales. But it solves the problems that make online ukay stressful. Every listing has a fixed condition field and the seller’s own photos. You browse by category, brand and size instead of scrolling a group. And the order is recorded from payment to delivery.

You pay either straight to the seller’s GCash QR, with the total filled in, or through Dara’s checkout, where Dara holds the money until you have your order (that way adds a 10 percent fee, shown before you pay). The seller sends the order with a courier like Grab, Maxim or Lalamove, and the delivery fee is worked out from the distance and shown at checkout. There is no listing fee for sellers. See what’s live.

Not getting scammed

Online ukay scams are rarely clever. They are a seller who takes GCash and goes quiet, a “sent” screenshot that was edited, or photos lifted from someone else’s post. Five checks catch nearly all of them:

  1. How long has the account existed? A page that has been posting for two years, with customers tagging it in photos of what they bought, is a different risk from one created last month.
  2. Proof the item is in their hands. Ask for a photo of it with today’s date written on paper beside it. A real seller does it in a minute.
  3. Consistent photos. Real sellers shoot everything on the same floor, the same rail, in the same light. A mix of backgrounds, or stock photos, means the pieces aren’t theirs.
  4. Payment you can undo. On a first order, insist on cash on delivery or a platform that holds the money. Confirm any GCash transfer in your own app, never from a screenshot, and never pay a number other than the seller’s own.
  5. An address. A shop, a pinned location, or at least a barangay. Our directory of every Cebu shop on Google Maps is one way to check a seller who says they have a shop.

For condition, ukay bought online arrives as it came out of the bale: unwashed, sometimes with a smell. Our ten-point quality check tells you what to ask about before you pay, and the washing guide deals with it when it arrives.

Delivery and payment in Cebu

  • Cash on delivery by rider. Common inside Metro Cebu. The seller books a Maxim, Grab or Lalamove rider and you pay when the parcel is in your hands. It costs a little more and is the safest way to buy from someone new.
  • J&T and other couriers. For anything outside the city, or for suppliers shipping nationwide. Usually payment first. Ask for the tracking number the day it ships.
  • Meet-ups. Free, and you see the piece before you pay. Daytime, in a public place: Ayala, SM City and IT Park are the Cebu standards.
  • GCash first. The default for live sells and most groups. Fine with a seller you have bought from before. With a stranger, it puts all the risk on you.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I buy ukay-ukay online in Cebu?

Single pieces sell mostly in Facebook groups such as Ukay Ukay Cebu and CEBU Ukay-ukay Dress (each with tens of thousands of followers), in Facebook and TikTok live sells, and on the Instagram accounts of sorted shops like The Great Finds, Go-to Style and Y2K Vintage. Bundles and bales sell through supplier pages such as Ukay Ukay Supplier Cebu City and Ukay Ukay Online, which deliver within Cebu. Dara sells pre-loved pieces from Cebu wardrobes and shops with the order recorded end to end.

What do mine, steal and grab mean in ukay live selling?

The first person to comment “mine” on an item gets first claim at the posted price. Someone who comments “steal” takes it from them at a higher, stated steal price, and “grab” overrules both at the highest price. Some sellers also open items to bids above the grab price. The rules and prices are set by each seller, so read the post or the pinned comment before you type anything, because a claim is treated as a promise to pay.

Is online ukay in Cebu cash on delivery?

Often, within Cebu. Many bundle suppliers accept cash on delivery inside Cebu City and nearby towns and ask for payment first for anything shipped outside it. Single-piece sellers in groups and live sells usually want GCash or a bank transfer before they ship, sometimes within 24 hours of your claim. Cash on delivery through a courier, or a platform that holds your payment, is the safer route with a seller you do not know.

How much is online ukay in Cebu?

Single pieces in the Cebu Facebook groups run from under ₱100 to a few hundred pesos, with sale posts like ₱189 each or three for ₱500. Sorted Instagram shops charge more, roughly ₱150 to ₱900 for most clothes. A starter bundle of 30 to 45 pre-sorted pieces costs about ₱899 to ₱2,999, and delivery is added on top unless the seller says it is free.

How do I avoid ukay scams online?

Buy from pages and accounts that have been posting for a long time and that customers tag in their photos. Ask for a photo of the item with today’s date written beside it. Confirm any GCash payment in your own app rather than trusting a screenshot, never send money to a number other than the seller’s own, and prefer cash on delivery or a platform-held payment for a first order. A seller who stops replying after payment is a common complaint in Filipino ukay forums.

Hours, prices and addresses were checked against each shop’s Google Business Profile and social accounts when this was written, and shops change them without telling us. If something here is out of date, message @sellondara on Instagram and we’ll fix it.
